About The Sunday Afternoon Matinée

The first incarnation of The Sunday Afternoon Matinée, or SAM for short, was first painstakingly hammered into place on the long-deceased GeoCities network. It was a clunky, crunchy little affair that demonstrated quite conclusively that not only did I not know a thing about web design, but I knew very little about design in general.

Nevertheless, I used the site to show off story segments and sample art, and just talk about what I was doing. No one was reading. I guess it eventually got to me, because I drifted away from the site long before it finally was shut down, as Yahoo finally pulled the plug on those old web pages it had been hosting. And there was much rejoicing.

The stories are still waiting to be told, however, and there are quite a few of them, including some comic strips I’ve been promising folks I’d get around to drawing. This new web page is the first step back on the path toward realizing a very old dream. Please feel free to join me.
