Ego Come and Ego Go

Okay, some of you folks may have noticed by now that I often use convoluted song lyrics for titles. They’re almost always Progressive ROck tunes I happen to be listening to or thinking about at the time I start the post. It’s an audio cue, folks. If you want to get fully into my mindset, you need to Google those lyrics and find the song, or better yet, the album, and listen along.

Now, for those of you who think Prog is dead, how did you get in here, anyway? The door is thataway.

No, seriously. If you don’t understand my love of Prog, you’re in the wrong place. You don’t have to love it yourself, but you need to understand how I can love such convoluted, strange, uncommercial music. It looms large in my posts on this blog. You’ll often be left confused and upset if you try to understand me without understanding that Prog music plays through at least part of every day of my life. Maybe not the only music, but it’s definitely the stuff I listen to that probably sets me apart from the majority of people visiting this site… unless you are all Prog fans as well, in which case, WHY WON’T YOU TALK TO ME, DAMMIT?

🙂

FYI: I may be a little under medicated today. Going to pick up my meds, along with my wife’s, in a couple of hours, once the drugstore is open.

So, who here knows I’ve composed what I sometimes call Progressive Pop songs? Probably all seven of you, huh? Well, for the newcomer, here’s a taste of what I do {WARNING: It’s performed by a guy who also writers novels, draws cartoons, does graphic design and paints, amongst other pursuits… as you can probably imagine, it’s NOT pro quality playing):
NO ONE IN THE WORLD Remix 2013
HERE IT COMES AGAIN Remix 2013
OUT OF TIME

That’ll do for now.

I’ve got a lot of writing to do today, so I’m going to leave you here. Hopefully you won’t get lost. If you do, just drop me a line and I’ll try to dig you out from under whatever pile of falling books or musical instruments you happen to get stuck under.

Have a great day.

Lee.

Don't be shy. Tell me what you really think, now.
