I’d Be Happy If You Gave Me Just a Fraction

One of these mornings, I’m going to have a plan of attack for all of the things I want to do before my wife wakes up, and I’m going to have a phenomenally productive day no matter what else happens. So far today, I’ve done pretty well for myself, except that I haven’t made any progress on the stuff that really counts: the books. I HAVE actually made some progress on A book, but not one I’ve talked about before, and for good reason.

One of the titles I’ve been planning all this time has been a short collection of my fanfic, which I will only give away as a freebie to fans of my writing who actually want me to play with other writers’ toys every once in a while. Not many of those (and most certainly not for sale or even available on the usual ebook websites, so I don’t run into copyright infringement suits or C&Ds or account closures and such), but I still have a few things I’ve been wanting to write, which I’ve started sorting out and begun writing for that project, just as a way to clear out some of my backlog of ideas.

Most of it is just little vignettes and shorts, so it won’t be a particularly deep read, but then, it’s free, so what have you lost, really? Time? A longer book would take longer and still be free. Besides, if this one proves to be popular enough, I might make another one, which you can add to the set.

So that’s where I am right now; just trying to get the freebie project and the blogs out of the way so I can get back to work on the novels I plan on releasing this month. I guess this is going to be a slightly crazy month, not least of which because of the holiday season. We’ll probably put up the Christmas decorations today, if I don’t manage to get Dawn out of the apartment to look at the pretty houses south of Herkimer.

Time to get back to work. Thanks for reading.

Lee.

Don't be shy. Tell me what you really think, now.
