Linking Game Ideas

So I’m currently gestating a hybrid role-playing game [RPG]/tabletop board game [TBG] concept, using modular tiles to ‘build’ the board ingame, like Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan, but with information/conflict cards like the Arkham Horror games (or like Magic, the Gathering, I suppose), and using those six-sided Fudge Dice for probability factors. I’m still piecing it together, but I’ve started mashing together the very basic graphics of the tiles and cards I will be printing for the playable demo version, which will include twelve (12) genres of storytelling style, and approximately three hundred (300) tiles designed to build basic sets in those twelve genres. It’s like having the base game and three or four expansions built into the demo version. I really want to see how I can make this genre hopping concept I’ve actually had for decades work.

When I get it done, I will start trying to figure out how to port it to a video game for PC and various tablet devices. I’ll need to talk to some coder-types to figure out what I need to run the engine, so to speak. But that’s later.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:
LBG Tile Sets 01-12a sml
LBG Card Sets 01-03sml

As you might imagine, there is still a LOT of work left to do. these graphics are not the final graphics; they just help me to think strategically while I devise the actual graphics, flavour text, and numbers of cards in each set. I’ll be developing this concept more int he days to come. If you have any questions, or would like to take part in some test play when I get the working demo finished, leave me a note.

And as always, thanks for reading.

Lee.

Don't be shy. Tell me what you really think, now.
