Panic-Stricken Lullabies, To Keep Us Up At Night

Good Afternoon, Macketeers!

Sorry I haven’t been posting over the past couple of days. I’ve been pretty exhausted and unable to form coherent thoughts.

The Stinson BBQ was a smashing success. Hundreds came out, no food was wasted, and the plan went over very well. The Suggestion Box was looking pretty full before I left, so presumably we’ll have a few things to amend to our plan before too long.

There are photos posted by my agent HERE.

I did a quickie remix of my buddy James William Roy’s latest song, Up All Night Revisited. I’m hoping he gets the proper remix from his buddy Markleford, so He’ll post it and I can link it for you, because it’s already pretty awesome the way I set it up for him, but it’s not flawless yet.

I’ve almost finished remixing the album as it stands. Still missing a couple of songs. Not sure I’ve got the energy to make them the way I planned. It’s been hard getting the energy to do much of anything since I ‘finished’ recording the album. Even the writing has suffered because of it. If I weren’t generally in such a good mood, I’d almost think I were depressed. Bipolar Disorder on meds is a funny thing.

Gary started writing a new song, which he showed me on Friday. We started jamming around on it, and I ended up doing a a very, very rough demo of it after he left, based on some lyrics my agent wrote upon hearing the song in progress. so far, we’ve been calling it Dos Services. It feels like Mexicali country rock number, like an Eagles tune. I’m gonna retrack it in the next few days and see if I can’t get it sounding proper. Gary already has ideas for it as well. We’ll see how long it takes to get the new song finished.

Anyway, I’m basically procrastinating doing a fresh install into the laptop, because we’re trying to figure out how to get a Ubuntu install on there while the DVD drive is failing. I should get back to that, but I don’t want to think about it today. Maybe tomorrow.

Time to go. Have a great week.

Don't be shy. Tell me what you really think, now.
