I received two emails this morning:

Now, the thing about this is, these videos both contain music that I COMPOSED AND PERFORMED MYSELF!!

Backing Vocals

All This Time (Nothing More)

I’ll be the last to say that they are the most original tunes in all of history, but they aren’t rip-offs, either. I wrote them with these two paws right here. Youtube didn’t contact me abotu this issue; they just decided without any consultation that the songs were copyrighted by someone else. I’d greatly enjoy someone showing me where I stole them from, then, because I think that would be highly enlightening. And amusing, I should think.

I don’t think the Youtube team knows what they are doing.

As a consequence, I’m just going to go in and de-monetize all of my videos, and they can get fucking stuffed. Haven’t made a dime from them anyway, so why should they?

And if any Youtube officials are reading this, I’m seriously not impressed. Get stuffed!

Lee.

One Response to “Youtube Monetization…

  • Hi Lee I too got a similar notification, all my videos made by be. The ones with music in, i did not monetize because i knew, but the rest i monetized, they decided today because the content in your video and/or the metadata may not be advertiser-friendly.
So i took the rest of them off just like you said, I also took all Google ads off my blogger.
    Youtube can go suck now.

Don't be shy. Tell me what you really think, now.
